| Birch Natural Edge Hollow Vessel 7" D 7" H |

This is an example of something I love to do, i,e, leave pieces of the bark on at odd places. In particular, beech is one of my favorite woods to do this with, as the bark peels off in layers, each of which has a different design and color. What is really interesting is when you sand through the bark so as to leave the different layers visible, as was the case here in the front of the vessel. By leaving the top edge right at the bark, I was able to get the undulating natural edge look. |
