Abstract and Sculptural Objects

This is almost an "all other" section. Here are objects that do not fit into any of the normal categories of bowls or vases or other vessels. In many of these cases, the item sat partially-finished on a shelf in my shop for months, while I looked at it and scratched my head. (You may think that I took some of these off that shelf a bit too soon!)

In many of them, the changes that I made that moved them from the more normal categories to this one started off as a technical solution, e.g., how to avoid or minimize having to sand pine, which is a difficult wood to sand, and these solutions led to creating something very different from what the original object was.

Below are thumbnails of such objects. In almost all cases, I have described the process by which they ended up being what they currently are.
